On January 24th, 2021 the Saint Sava celebration will begin with the Holy Liturgy led by Protopresbyter Stavrophor Petar Petrovic and Father Thaddeus Franta with Velislava Franta music professor leading the choir, and the blessing of the Feast bread, and will end with lunch and the appropriate Saint Sava program for our children.

Saint Sava, the founder of education and the first Serbian archbishop, is one of the most important figures in Serbian history, and is celebrated every Year on January 27.

This year's hosts of the Saint Sava celebration will be Ljubinka Milosevic, Nevenka, Nikola, Nikolina and Katarina Bozic, who will prepare  a delicious Lunch.    Every child  will receive present from the Church.

If you would like to be a sponsor hosts(Kumovi) for the next 2022 Year please contact Father Petar.

  1. If you have children, please call Fr.Petar Petrovic for “Recitations” in either Serbian or English Language.

IF CHILDREN DO NOT HAVE TIME TO LEARN RECITATIONS, THEY CAN READ THEM.

CHILDREN CAN ALSO READ A SECTION FROM THE SCRIPTURES INSTEAD OF POEMS.

Saint Sava as a school Slava has been celebrated since the 19th century. According to some data, a school fund was established in Zemun in Serbia in 1812, which stipulated that Saint Sava be marked as a protector of Serbian schools. Furthermore, in 1840, it was decided that the saint be declared a school Slava. The tradition was celebrated until 1945, when it was abolished by the decision of the Communist authorities. The tradition was restored in the early nineties.

Please, inform Father Petar as soon as possible if you and your children will be in Church on January 24th, 2021 for this special Celebration.

Also I need to know if you or your children would like to take a part in Program.

Please call me atL513)512-1672 or email me at:protapetarp@gmail.com

Blessings,

Fr.Petar Petrovic
